Medical Advice: During office hours our staff will ask the nature of your call. Either a physician or a medical assistant will call you back with the doctor’s recommendations.
For URGENT calls outside office hours, our phones are connected to an answering service. A message will be forwarded to the doctor on call. For life-threatening emergencies, call 911.
Prescriptions: Requests for refills and changes to prescriptions written by PDEC physicians should be called to your pharmacy. Your pharmacy will contact us for approval. PLEASE PLAN AHEAD and allow at least 48 hours notice. We do not refill prescriptions after hours or on weekends.
Lab Results: Your physician will review the results of any laboratory or other diagnostic tests. You will receive a letter regarding routine lab results; please allow at least two weeks for written notification. Be assured that you will be contacted earlier by telephone if discussion is needed due to any significantly abnormal results.
